  1. Fran

I’ve had this book for a while but kept putting it off. I would say I’m an A2/B1 level but found this book quite easy to read and understandable. The storyline too was interesting. But as a language learner what I most enjoyed was that it is written mostly in the past tenses, imperfetto and passato remoto. What a great learning tool.

  2. Carol Stothard

A glimpse into the rivalries of the fashion world.
A different and interesting story, most of it easy to read and understand but some parts push you out of your comfort zone, so that you have to read it a few times to understand where it is going.
Another example of giving you confidence but making you want to progress
Well done, just ordered another book

I only just started reading it, and so far it is interesting and the speed of the narrator is perfect for my level.

They say that revenge is best served cold. In this case, the heat is up on the cat walk and things could get really messy if Maria doesn’t spot where the threat is coming from.

A nice little story with plenty of new vocab and expressions. I learned a lot but at the same time found the text understandable.

I agree with Phillip’s comments about sound quality, but enjoyed the book nonetheless.

Very good reader for B level . Enjoyed it .

The excellent bits – it’s a B1 pace, so it took 2 or 3 listenings to get some of the details, but even after the first pass, I usually felt I had the gist of each chapter.
Also, there are some very useful everyday vocabulary and idioms, a feature of all the B1 books I’ve read so far.
That “Questa storia sia proprio incredibile”, as one character says, does not detract from the learning. Even Clouseau would have solved this one! However, the sound quality could have been better – it’s audible, but the speaker was too close to the microphone, and the resultant occasional ‘pops’ and slight distortion distract from time to time.
However, it has proved a worthy addition to the range, not just the listening practice, but some excellent new vocabulary and phrases.

another fantastic book to add to your “treasure chest” of italian study materials! This is by no means the first book I’ve bought from Easyreaders.org. All are great. The stories are perfect – the B1/B2 level is challenging enough yet not designed to make you feel disheartened. With each book I gain so many new vocabulary words, both nouns and verbs, not to mention I love the use of expressions spoken in the stories to help pull me into the dialogue of spoken culture. Lastly, the comprehension questions along with pronoun quiz at the end is a great reinforcer – for ANY level.
