Short story, well written for language learning – I read this with my native speaker who also likes it because it uses everyday language.

A delightful story of this intergenerational odd couple stuck in the lift together. This guy is a good interesting writer. He makes me feel there is hope for the world after all.

I like reading the story in Italian, reading the questions in Italian, and answering in Italian. It’s an immersion experience. None of translating back and forth with English.

I enjoyed this story and found it quite easy to understand, I have learnt some new words and expressions. A very useful lesson! I shall listen to it a few more times.

Yet another book I have enjoyed reading! I find that these books, with audio, are helping me with pronunciation as well as expanding my vocabulary. I read out loud in my night class on Monday and the class all commented on how well it sounded – my growing confidence is down to these books. I really enjoy this form of learning . (Only wish it was easier to download audio to my iPad.)

I enjoyed reading “L’ascensore” very much. It is an interesting story that is well written and it engages the reader to improve reading and listening skills. I find it most helpful to read along out loud while listening to Sound Cloud spoken text.
