4 reviews for Un giorno da ricordare (B2)

  1. Laurie (verified owner)

The stories were good and I enjoyed the book. It was a bit short though so I read it quote quickly. It s really difficult to find books in Italian when you re at a higher level. You can only find beginners books but nothing for more advanced students. I shall be buying more

Look at the sample chapters for the C1 and C2 texts in our catalog, Laurie. They’s still short, but not so much. And if those are too easy, it’s time to take off the training wheels and read real books!

  2. Raymond Dragonetti

The stories were short and interesting and made a good exercise for my B2 work. I listened to them twice, read them once and finally summarised them in writing in Italian as an exercise to be checked by my Online Italian Club teacher.

  3. Chris Jolley (verified owner)

I read the free chapter and was intrigued about the rest of the stories in the book because it was so well written and interesting. I love to listen to the audio first, repeat it whilst reading the text then read it again in a relaxed way without the audio. I thoroughly recommend this book.

  4. Patricia (verified owner)

I recommend Un giorno da ricordare as well worth the read. The stories were engaging despite the fact that the first recollection set a negative tone…a sort of “it could be worse” thread that I felt throughout.
The conversational style of the first person narrative made it easy to read even though it was a bit difficult to understand some specifics exactly.
Doing the exercises after going back to the text on the second and third reading helped and was actually fun.
A good language learning read, for sure.
