    Un viaggio nel tempo

This is level A2/B1 and I found I read it easily. I enjoyed the story. Having the audio was excellent and I realised my listening was not good
I also had Le italiane a most enjoyable read I belong to a U3A group and I I told the group leader and he signed up to Online Italian and we read it on Zoom.

I am a native Italian teacher and i have just started using one of the four e-books i have purchased from you (two were free, but more will be bought..!). My students love them and they talk to each other (and me) on Zoom and opinionate on them and all of your books are a fantastic resource.
” Un viaggio nel tempo ! could be anyone of us (not old… but of the Modern Maturity. as described by my children. I’m winding down my work load, i still have about sixty students della terza eta’.
My only regret is not having “discovered/used this great resource years ago! I have been living in the UK for fifty two years and teaching Italian and French for nineteen of them .
Bravissimi tutti nell’organizzazione e un grazie speciale a Daniel , la sua Signora . Ciao ciao a tutta la Famiglia Linguistica.

Un viaggio nel Tempo sviluppa diversi temi con frivolezza:
    a, Essere in pensione

I agree with almost every review : how the authors manage to pack so much into such short stories is a mystery ….
This is the 4th tale in 2 different Zoom groups and it has really ‘ saved my bacon‘ , keeping me sane in these difficult times!
The easier level is excellent for reading aloud we find, the higher level for increasing vocabulary.
Keep it up please – and help keep our sense of humour alive ?

I teach Italian to senior-aged afficionados of Italian language and literature. This is the 4th of your books we’ve read. Personally, I didn’t care for the portrayal of those of my age group. For example, Antonino, the protagonist had been retired two years and still didn’t know what to do with himself. Then, he had to enlist the help of this children to get on social media. Still, my students weren’t troubled by that and enjoyed the story.

I did like that it moved quickly and that there was just enough new vocabulary for the students to learn without being overwhelmed. I truly am impressed by how much your authors can get into 8 short chapters.

I wish you would find someone else to record the audio – it would be nice to hear a different voice. Also, reading just a little bit slower would help.

Thanks for helping an Italian teacher vary her classes.

This was my first easy reader and I enjoyed it. A light, whimsical tale of fellows of about my age, i.e. In pensione. I found it easy to read, only puzzled about a couple of words per chapter, but really need practice in listening.

This is the third story from your company that my group is reading. It is a nice change from grammar and a chance to see how the language actually works in context.

I enjoyed the whimsical tone of the book and found it just right for my current reading level. Got some new vocabulary but was also pleased with how much I understood on my own.

This story should appeal to gentlemen of a certain age who don’t take themselves too seriously; I’m sure many of us can identify with the characters! Enjoyable and amusing with a fairly simple vocabulary, though, as already mentioned, the audio is a bit scratchy.

This was my first Easy Reader in Italian and I found it challenging but easy enough for me to understand with the help of a good dictionary. The story was interesting with a nice twist at the end. I learned lots of new words and it also reinforced my grammar knowledge. I’m looking forward to trying other books.

My goal is to be able to have an “everyday” conversation in Italian. (I have a ways to go!) In that regard, obviously, listening to spoken Italian is important. And being able read what I have listened to is helpful because there is always a sentence or two (or three) I don”t understand. Also, reading the text helps me better understand sentence construction: word order, etc..

This was my first venture into one of the on-line short stories for some time. As ever, the listening for me was more challenging than the reading. I liked the uncomplicated storyline and appreciated the introduction of new vocabulary. I’ll probably try a B1/B2 next time.

A gentle story of 4 old male friends (of a certain age and stage), finding each other through newly discovered (in their case) social media and being reunited after some 40 years. They set off on an adventure hoping to re-live their youth at an outdoor music festival… While it’s not my favourite book in the Easy Reader series, I did enjoy it.
I can highly recommend the series. This one is my third Easy Reader for the week, as I too now have the time and inclination, and it’s doing wonders for my Italian learning.

This was the last of the bundle of all A1/A2 books I got and I’m sure my listening has improved by listening to a chapter a day.

This one also suffered from the occasional distortion as the speaker gets too close to the microphone, but I view that as the sort of background interference that happens in real life. Other than that, it was interesting to follow (chapters of about 2 minutes each, just about right at my level); I’m guessing the partial assigning of a B1 is due to the increase in speed of the speaker rattling through some longer sentences, especially in chapters 5 and 6 – so a gradual introduction to faster speaking.

It was also one of the best stories in the series.

Un Viaggi nel tempo is an interesting and light-hearted story which I greatly enjoyed. The four characters – Umberto, Antonino, Vittorio and Alesssandro are all likeable, amusing musicians, who make this story entertaining.
I listened to the whole story without reading the text and was very pleased that I could understand most of it – my listening skills must be improving! I then went back and listened/read each chapter, and as usual did the exercises.
I did notice that the quality of the recording isn’t very clear in parts but I see that it has already been mentioned and noted.
All in all, I would recommend this book for the A2/B1 level.

This was good reading. The story line was enjoyable and the reading level was challenging and satisfy as a language learner.

  17. Jadwiga

A very entertaining tale. It just goes to show; you can get things wrong whether you’re young or old. But the authors of these mini books get it right every time. Mysteriously, unfamiliar words become instantly familiar and, just as mysteriously, embed themselves in the mind almost immediately. The combination of reading the text while listening to the recorded voice always helps with the learning process.

One minor whinge: The quality of the recording is very poor. The popping often makes the words unintelligible. Was the reader too close to the microphone?

    • easyreadersorg

You’re very likely right about the audio, Jadwiga. This is one of our earliest ones, when we still had issues with recording. I’ll make a note to get it re-recorded in due course. Thanks for the feedback!

I found the book helpful in learning to read Italian at the beginner to intermediate level. Moreover the story itself was engaging which helps focus attention especially when the words are not immediately familiar. Good learning tool.
