Another great story for beginners. These graded readers are perfect for listening and reading practice.

I enjoyed this one a lot! I like the Easy Readers better than the Parallel texts myself.

Excellent I found I understand 90% of it straightaway and I could guess the words I didn’t know by the context,I am now going to see if I can figure out how to listen to it on SoundCloud, I am not the most tech savvy person, keep it up Daniel it is very much appreciated

The story is interesting and the most important of all, its level is suitable for A1 learner like me! Really enjoy reading it:)

I have purchased a number of e-books and have started with La Sorpressa as I am a relative beginner. The story is great and I have been able to understand quite a bit of it without having to read the English translation. I have been reading it to my husband who understands more Italian than me. I can’t wait to get started on the other books I have purchased.
I love your website and am having fun travelling through the lessons. I also am enjoying your regular emails too!

This book, like all of the books on this site is great. It is an interesting story, it is written at the advertised level where I can actually get the story and then work through words I dont know and look at sentence structure. And the icing on the cake, the audio file that comes with it is at a good pace that let’s me feel like I’m getting it without struggling too much. I like how the pace increases as the books become more advanced. The books, audio and online lessons are doing way more for me than the previous hours I put into apps and memorizing.

I thoroughly enjoyed the story – didn’t need to use the dictionary very often – which makes enjoyable reading. Have now been buying slightly more difficult books now – gradually upping the level. Also the use of Soundcloud has greatly improved my listening skills. Thank you, Helen H.

When I first received this book it was too hard ( I was a real beginner) I felt frustrated and filed it away, forgetting about it. The parallel text is really useful, although because my Italian has improved I didn’t need to use it this time! I would recommend to others that as you suggest Daniel, try to read the text in Italian first, maybe a few times over before looking at the English version. Together with the audio version this book, along with the others is a really good way to develop your Italian language skills. Thank you

A nice, easy to read little story – but the important thing about the book is that it helps a learner to improve their syntax and grammar. Even if the reader knows every word, forming grammatically correct sentences is the hardest thing to master. So well done and thank you.

I enjoyed the story and understood most of it without having to ‘cheat’ and look at the English version. My vocabulary and grammar still needs a lot of work but I’m studying hard!
I think that the website is brilliant for learning Italian, thank you!

Nice story. Really encouraged by understanding most of it and easy to see which words i didnt understand from parallel text.

Ps what a great website – I love the online italian club. It makes it so easy to keep up with learning and practising the language. I have recommended it to lots of people.

I enjoyed the cute romantic storyline of Amanda and David but this book really added to my italian vocabulary. Expressions useful for everyday life.
