It is a very enjoyable reading experience, coupled with definitions for some of the words which might be considered more difficult within each chapter. I learned quite a bit!

Fun story. It helps my Italian studies since I read & translate it at the same time.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Pinocchio. I consider my level closer to B1, but this was perfect anyway — a good way to keep in touch with the language. I was able to understand most of it and tried very hard to absorb it without a dictionary. I also like the glossary at the end of each chapter.

I really enjoyed the Pinocchio Easy Reader! I started studying Italian three months ago, and the level of the Easy Reader was perfect for me. Since I was participating in the Pinocchio Mini-Book Club, I also managed to work my way through the original version, and what I loved about this Easy Reader is how the author captured the very essence of the original, while at the same time simplifying the vocabulary to make the story accessible to beginning Italian students!

I have just completed this memorable story from childhood. Reading it with Sound Cloud and getting a general understanding was very valuable. I hope as I read more ebooks (read quite a number now) my vocab and confidence will improve. Thanks Daniel your site is amazibg!

I read this as part of the mini- book club whilst also reading the original.
Astounding at how much work goes into these easy readers to précis the original. I like the glossary and exercises at the end of each chapter.
Plus you get an audio version too, though I haven’t listened to it yet.

I really enjoyed Pinocchio Easy Italian Reader which was Level A1/2 . Listening on Soundcloud and reading the text helped me to understand the story and gave me a very good introduction to the original book which I also downloaded free of charge. I also found the story read on Audible for free before signing up for a monthly fee of £7.99 It was read beautifully. I feel that I want to listen to the story over and over again. It made a good change from the difficult passages of Il nome della rosa which I have not finished reading or listening to.
I feel that I am getting more confident in understanding the spoken word, even if not in conversations.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book as it was clear enough to follow and took me back , although in another language, to my reading of it as a child in English. For some reason it sounds more romantic in Italian as the words give more polish in their description.
I will certainly read it to my grandchildren as they are interested in learning the Lingua Franca of three of their grandparents from Italy.
It is a delightful read and clear exercises assist to refresh the memory of the phrases and words.

A great reconstruction of the classic tale, tailoring it to the beginner with accompanying audio, glossary & exercises. The easy readers are certainly an enjoyable part of learning Italian!

Pinocchio was my second Easy Reader. It’s summary, vocabulary assist, and exercises all helped make reading the full story more accessible for me. The audio continues to help w/ my special challenge: listening comprehension. This has been true with other E.R.s too, so I’m ‘hooked’ and awaiting the next classic It. literature E.R. (Per me era una sorpresa che l’origine della storia di Pinocchio è italiana!) Grazie a tutti a Easy Readers.

I really enjoyed this (rather to my surprise) but I am cross that I have not managed much of the full version of the book yet! As usual, I enjoy the exercises at the end. I have not tried listening to the soundtrack yet but will soon.

I found the easy reader a very good basis for following what was occurring in the novel proper which I am now 6 chapters from finishing. Even though I have not understood everything I am now almost desperate to find out how it finishes. I am also looking forward to other easy reader versions of the classics. Thanks.

It is rather enjoyable to read a book, a living text, apart from doing the many grammar exercises on Duolingo. I knew the story from childhood, which helped, and the level was just perfect for me to read it easily but also to pick up some new phrases and expressions. Practising a language through reading is fun, and now I am on my second Easy Reader book, one level up!

This wonderful story of love, loss and redemption takes me back to my childhood. I was amazed at how much I understood after only eight weeks of learning Italian. The format is perfect for absolute beginners, and to Have the audio available to accompany reading was wonderful.
I am looking forward to attempting the full original story at a future point.

I really enjoyed this story and the helpful glossary. The exercises are excellent for those who have recently started to learn Italian. I am not a beginner but still found new words and phrases to enrich my Italian.

This has introduced me to reading Italian novels. I had put off buying any as I thought they would be too hard but realise now that that to some extent defeats the object . I have also enjoyed listening to the audio and doing the exercises. How right Daniel is to tell us to read and not worry about understanding every word. I intend to continue reading Italian novels (easy readers) for now as part of my learning strategy.

I truly enjoyed reading this classic in easy Italian. It’s fun to read something once in awhile where most of the words are already known. I was amazed at how much I had forgotten about this story. I plan to also use this book to help with my listening comprehension. The exercises at the end of each chapter are also good for learning sentence structure. I wish there were more easy readers like this classic.

Loved trying to read this book. I’m a early beginner so I didn’t think I understood alot of it, but that’s nothing to do with the book, just me learning. I liked that there was a glossary for each chapter and also the exercise at the end of the chapter. The glossary helped me with the words and the exercises helped me to realized I did understand most of what I was reading. I’m going to try to tackle the full version soon.

5 Stars. Thank you. It is indeed lovely to read this classic in easy Italian as well as listen along. The story of Pinocchio is a most beautiful metaphor for our relationship with our Creator and how we too become fully human. Now, if only we could get an Easy Reader of Dante’s Divine Comedy.

Total escapism. A joy to read. I couldn’t remember the plot, having seen the film as a very young child. I couldn’t ‘put it down’. Sheer pleasure and a treat to hear it being read too!

Although over all I found it easy there were still some new words specific to the story that I learned. (This is not a criticism of the level ) I bought it to refresh my memory of the story before attempting to read the full version in Italian with the Book Club. The sound track is really useful to help with pronunciation. As with other Easy Reader books the glossary and exercise are good at the end of each short chapter.

This is of course a great classic story. Lovely to be able to read it, in easy Italian, as well as listen along to the sound recording. Reminds me of childhood! I love the exercises at the end of each chapter – a little quiz and encouraging way to remember vocab, to work on grammar and especially those pesky prepositions. Highly recommend read for this level.

A story we all know from childhood. Wonderful to be able to read it in Easy Italian and also to listen along to the soundtrack. I love the exercises at the end of each chapter – they are like a little puzzle and encourage me to learn the vocab and prepositions especially!
