A very amusing story. There were quite a few characters but at one point I paused the recording and jotted down the names of the characters together with their job title or connection. No problem after that. Really enjoyed this book .
I’ve purchased a few of these easy reader books now and would thoroughly recommend them. After listening to the recording I like to read them out aloud for practice.

Received this e book recently! Printed it out have read two pages so far, but can understand it if I read through a few times! Will keep pursuing with it looks interesting.

I found this quite a challenging read due to the numerous characters (12 in the first two short chapters alone!) who come and go, and the lack of a strong storyline to persuade the reader to continue. On the other hand, this encourages close reading of / listening to the Italian in order to follow what is going on. And it is an interesting set of comic episodes describing Italian life of the past. Useful dialogue, vocabulary and exercises.

A fun read. Just hard enough to make it a little challenging but not frustrating. Very easy to get the gist of what is happening.

  6. Jane bowden (verified owner)

Very entertaining with just the right balance between familiar and new vocabulary.

One of the best books available, this is easy to read despite its B1 rating, it’s a good story with some useful dialogue especially if you fancy a life of crime… what more can I say?
