I have purchased all the opera series thus far because one of my goals in studying Italian was to better appreciate opera. This is my favorite so far. One of the better plots and plenty of interesting characters. Plus the famous “La donna `e mobile” which I never had any idea what it was about. With these books you really can understand what is going on. You get to enjoy an opera and study Italian at the same time!

Another enjoyable synopsis of an opera. I liked the short lines from a character’s song in each chapter followed by a modern paraphrasing. I searched the first line of each of these songs on You Tube and listened to the full version and for some of them it came with footage from an actual opera performance. I think I could go and watch the opera live now that I know the story.
I thoroughly recommend this series of books.

Elsa, you’re an angel from heaven! We get virtually no reviews these days, to the extent that I was convinced there was a technical error (but had no idea what to do to fix it!) Now that’s one job off my list…
I’m happy you liked the ebook, by the way!
And thanks again for taking the time to leave a review.
