This is the second e-book I’ve ordered, as I thought there was a mistake with the first.
The story was interesting, the dialogue between players entertaining, the glossaries informative, but my one question is just how can you call this a BOOK ? 28 pages is barely a SHORT STORY . I’ve read longer magazine articles. At $10 a pop, your e “books” are WAY overpriced.

Don’t buy them, then, Albert. There are plenty of books in the bookstore, or free online, with hundreds of pages. These are DELIBERATELY short, as is made very clear from the free sample chapters, all of which can be accessed with a simple click from our Catalog page.

A bit advanced for me but that was OK. I enjoy reading about the partisans during WWII. I knew very little about them until I noticed all the monuments to them in the north of Italy during our travels. The story held my interest really well so I found myself reading it quickly even though I was having vocabulary issues. As usual the audio was great. I could not have understood much by just listening, but after reading, it becomes easier.

I really enjoyed the story which held my attention and kept me reading. I could follow the text without looking up too many words but there was plenty of new vocabulary and a range of tenses. I would read others by this author.

An interesting story in it’s own right, and with a good plot. Easy enough for me to be able to follow the story without having to keep looking up words, which would have destroyed much of the enjoyment, but plenty to go back over once I’d read it all the way through, including the audio. A few new words weren’t even in my dictionary, but I think I managed to suss them from the context. Funnily enough, though, I was familiar with many of the words in the glossary, so I think this was pitched at about the right level for me.

Another excellent Easy Reader for the advanced student; indeed, this is one of the best. Beautifully written, with a strong plot which keeps the reader wanting to keep reading. Perhaps more C1 than B2 as there is quite a lot of vocabulary which is likely to be new, and use of the dreaded passato remoto tense. Even advanced learners do not need to memorise and use this but it is important to recognise it and the Reader is very good practice.

I have been using the Easy Readers for a couple of years now and they have really helped my reading and (especially) listening skills, making full use of the audio reading which is included. Particular favourites have been ‘Segreti e Polpette’, ‘La Via Francigena’ and this one.

L’ho trovato come un veicolò per imparare più della storia e della cultura del campo durante la seconda guerra mondiale.

Una storia interessante con molte nuove parole e frasi da imparare. Trovo anche utile leggere questi testi ad alta voce.

Good story and just the right level for me

Mi è piaciuto molto questo libro di Francesca Colombo. Una storia interessante che ti incoraggia a continuare a leggere per scoprire cosa è successo. Qualche personaggio interessante tra cui una ragazza che vuole diventare una scrittrice, e un sacerdote con una mano solo. Ho trovato molte nuove parole e frasi utili. Gli esercizi sono utili per verificare la comprensione e imparare un po’ di piu.
